YOGA INSTRUCTION IN OUR NATION'S CAPITAL

I started dabbling in Yoga in 2000, and right away one of the things I loved about it was that I had to adjust my rearview mirror when I got back into my car after class -- because I had literally gotten taller.  I was inspired to go deeper with my practice after a weekend at Kripalu in the fall of 2008.  When I suddenly and completely unexpectedly found myself in astavakrasana while on retreat in Bali in 2010, I knew I was hooked for life...​

I believe the world would be a better place with more Yoga in it.

That's why I teach Yoga.  I want everyone to feel steadiness and ease, strength and flexibility, equanimity and joy and grace -- in our bodies, but also in our hearts, minds and spirits.  If enlightenment feels like spaciousness in the joints (Swami Satchidananda), then Yoga is the light that leads the way.

In my teaching, I take a heart-centered approach that focuses on the breath, alignment, flow and mindfulness.  We will create space together and laugh as we do...
